Where we meet

This painting named itself, I’m not sure how but when I looked at it during the COVID Pandemic, isolated and staying at home in my studio the words “where we meet” just popped into my head. Maybe I was feeling nostalgic for being out with friends, having coffee, going to yoga. I was trying to enjoy the extra studio time, take my mind off the craziness of having to stay home to protect myself from getting sick…it was all so strange. Painting was my saving grace, I went into the Studio to create and not hear what was going on, not watch the news, not worry …just make art. This painting did not come easily, I didnt like it at first it needed some editing to get the feel I thought it deserved. When i fixed and fussed and finally got it right… I loved it! I put it in a virtual show at Charlotte Art League in May, the first virtual show there due to COVID, I had to name it and the name just came to me. Who knows what it means or where in my subconcious it was coming from at that crazy time!
